Workers are emptying the Cash Converters second-hand goods franchise, at the Pottstown Center shopping on Shoemaker Road, of its remaining items. The store recently closed. Boxes are packed for shipping.
If there was ever any question about the money-making potential of Halloween, it's been answered by the Spirit Halloween division of Spencer Gifts LLC. One of the company's more than 1,000 stores opens this week in Pottstown Center.
Construction of a SuperCenter expansion of the Wal-Mart store on Route 100 in Pottstown PA is well under way, with a foundation being dug and installed and structural steel awaiting installation.
Retail merchants are moving around in Pottstown. Dollar Tree is changing store fronts in the same shopping plaza. Radio Shack moved from one plaza to another. Quest Labs is opening a new site.
