The parking lot at Pottsgrove Middle School on North Hanover Street is expected to be busy Saturday, as area residents take advantage of an inexpensive way to recycle electronics and also benefit the GreenAllies organization.
Wednesday trash and recycling pick-ups in Douglass (Mont.) Township will be made on Saturday instead. Pick-ups scheduled for today (Thursday) proceed as planned.
When New Hanover residents are done celebrating the holidays, and have no further use for their Christmas tree, they can recycle it at three different township drop-off points.
Tons of unwanted electronics items, including those dug out of the attics and storage rooms of Pottstown homes and businesses, were recycled Saturday by Montgomery County at the Philadelphia Premium Outlets in Limerick.
Montgomery County reminds political candidates (and Pottstown area home owners too) that, after Election Day, their no-longer-needed campaign signs can now be recycled rather than trashed.
