Baseball players from teams at Pottstown and Pottsgrove high schools united in community service Sunday. They participated in the Dr. Martin L. King Day of Service by spending hours to collect food for donation to families in need.
A decades-old blighted property at the northwestern corner gateway to Lower Pottsgrove, which township commissioners sought to rescue and revive for a period almost as long, has finally been replaced.
Redner’s Markets Inc., which operates stores locally and across Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware, donated $36,000 to seven regional food banks. It will provide about 216,000 meals to those in need.
Construction of the Redner’s Warehouse Market fuel station at the North End Shopping Center in Lower Pottsgrove seems to be nearing completion after months of construction. Its brightest feature: shiny red pumps.
Redner’s fourth and newest location for its Fresh Market concept stores is in Lewes DE, the company announced Thursday. The 49,000-square-foot building was constructed by a Douglassville contractor.
Potential customers may wait a little longer to fuel their vehicles at the Redner’s Markets filling station on the corner of North Charlotte and Mervine streets in Lower Pottsgrove. Excavation work continued there Monday.
The Project Hope international relief effort to provide for medical and sanitary needs in Ukraine have received a $65,000 boost from Redner’s Markets and its customers following a summer fund-raiser.
Heavy equipment used since Wednesday (July 27, 2022) to demolish the former convenience store and gasoline station at North Charlotte and Mervine streets is resting. There's little more for it to do.
