Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard, with 10 local stores within the TriCounty area, is again giving away free samples of its product on the first day of spring ... less than two weeks away.
There are no plans yet, no commitments, not even a specific address. But there is a generalized location for a proposed Rita's Italian Ice: North Charlotte Street at School Lane.
Rita's Water Ice, the popular frozen dessert vendor at seven locations locally, plans to expand by opening new shops within "convenience and gasoline" stores nationwide.
