Police officers from several townships surrounding Pottstown will participate in the multi-jurisdictional Team DUI efforts during the coming week, regional officials said.
Eleven police departments in western Montgomery and northern Chester counties are anticipated to be on patrol this week for intoxicated drivers, with one or more sobriety checkpoints planned.
A multi-jurisdictional, five-hour sobriety check-point operating Friday night and Saturday morning in North Coventry Township resulted in eight police interventions, and charges against seven drivers.
Don't claim you never got the message. Area police departments report they are again working together during the next seven days to set up sobriety checkpoints and arrest drivers under the influence.
The Pottstown Police Department will coordinate a multi-jurisdictional drunk driving enforcement operation scheduled to occur during the coming week. Drive sober or don't drive at all, officers warned.
Local and state law enforcement agencies are looking to crack down during the Labor Day weekend on driving under the influence violators. Don't give them a reason to single you out.
