Anticipate more construction activity daily next Monday through Friday on both east- and westbound lanes of U.S. Route 422 between its Royersford and Sanatoga interchanges.
Speeds on the area's most heavily used four-lane limited-access highways, including the length of U.S. Route 422 from King of Prussia to the Berks County line, have been limited during the snowstorm.
The project to create a new on-ramp for U.S. Route 422 West in Sanatoga has been under discussion since 2008. A $1.4 million bid for the work was awarded Tuesday by Limerick Township supervisors.
Both the west- and eastbound sides will be affected, as PennDOT's contractor continues pavement resurfacing and sign installation chores between the Royersford-Trappe and Sanatoga interchanges.

The work will occur today (Sunday, May 19) through Thursday (May 21) during overnight hours between the Trooper Road and Oaks interchanges. Be wary and use caution, the agency advises.
The ramp from Stowe to U.S. Route 422 eastbound should be ready to reopen Tuesday morning at 5 a.m. To do that, though, a portion of the highway will be closed overnight Monday (March 11).
PennDOT wants to shift westbound 422 traffic over to newly constructed highway between Route 100 and Douglass Township. Moving barriers for the task will require closing that portion overnight on Feb. 28.
