Local volunteers are being sought to help Vietnam Veterans Pottstown Keystone Chapter 565, the borough's Veterans' Island Project Committee, and the Travis Manion Foundation to clean Pottstown veterans' memorials Saturday.
Area veterans, the Travis Manion Foundation, and public volunteers have scheduled a clean-up and maintenance project for May 14 (Sunday) on Veterans' Island at Pottstown's Memorial Park.
Memorial Day observances in the borough, organized by the Pottstown area's many veterans' organizations, will begin Monday at 9:45 a.m. with a motorcade, followed by a Veterans Island ceremony.
