Municipal meetings at which West Pottsgrove Township boards will conduct the local government's business have been scheduled for August.
With audio. A large number of West Pottsgrove residents made it clear Tuesday to their Board of Commissioners they believe West End Fire Company is sufficiently viable to continue providing the township with fire protection. The board said it's willing to work on improving communications.
The struggling West End Fire Company in Stowe, and its ability to provide fire protection services to West Pottsgrove, is the subject of a Tuesday commissioners' meeting at West Pottsgrove Elementary School.
Two properties within West Pottsgrove, on which delinquent taxes have been owed for years, will proceed to a Montgomery County Tax Bureau sale scheduled for September, township commissioners agreed.
During their workshop meeting Wednesday, West Pottsgrove Township commissioners authorized the police department to upgrade computer equipment in four of its patrol vehicles.
Pottstown Borough Council, during its meeting Monday night, approved a memorandum of understanding to work with West Pottsgrove in the proposed development of acreage along the Schuylkill River.
