WEST POTTSGROVE PA – The township relied on the ReadyMontco public alert system Wednesday (May 24, 2023) to remind its residents of a Memorial Day-related change, and a new special event.
Memorial Day reminder
Due to the Memorial Day holiday on Monday (May 29), trash and recycling collections in West Pottsgrove will be re-scheduled for Thursday (June 1).
New special event
A “Spring Community Day” for cleaning West Pottsgrove parks is being planned, weather permitting, for June 3 (Saturday) from 9 a.m. to noon. The day is scheduled to start at the Howard Street Park, on Howard Street between Walnut Street and School Lane.
Volunteers are needed to help the work go quickly, and are asked to assemble there. If you’ve got time, the township asks you to register in advance by calling it at 610-323-7717 or sending an e-mail to info@westpottsgrove.org.
Depending on the number of volunteers, the township hopes to clean up both the Howard Street and Vine Street parks. Gloves and refreshments will be provided, it said.
